MetaX Integrated Circuits (Shanghai) Co Ltd is a leading Chinese provider of high-performance general-purpose GPUs and computing platforms. Founded in 2020, the company was listed on the STAR Market in 2025. MetaX independently develops its core GPU IP, architecture and instruction sets. Its product portfolio includes the MetaX N-Series for AI inference, C-Series for AI training and inference, G-Series for graphics rendering, X-Series for scientific computing, and S-Series for supernodes.

The MetaX C600, built on a fully domestic supply chain, passed China's security and reliability assessment in 2026 and entered mass production and sales. Designed to meet the surging demand for token computing in the AI era, the S-Series supernode system supports horizontal scaling across racks to clusters of up to 10,000 GPUs. It offers high computing density, high interconnect bandwidth and energy efficiency. MetaX is building a full-stack computing system from chips to clusters, advancing both domestic GPU technology and its industrial application.

MetaX has developed its proprietary MXMACA full-stack software stack, which is compatible with mainstream international GPU ecosystems, AI frameworks and models. It supports more than 40 AI frameworks and over 1,000 models, and adapts more than 6,000 international applications.

The software stack enables MetaX GPUs to rapidly support leading large models across applications such as general-purpose language processing, multimodal AI, optical character recognition (OCR) and machine translation. The company ranks among the industry leaders in adaptation speed, model coverage and ecosystem breadth.

MetaX also promotes open-source development and ecosystem collaboration. It works with universities, research institutions and developer communities on joint R&D and talent development, making domestic computing platforms easier to adopt.

Under its "1+6+X" ecosystem strategy, MetaX uses general-purpose GPUs as the foundation of digital computing infrastructure. Together with industry partners, it is expanding domestic computing applications across six key sectors: finance, healthcare, energy, education and research, transportation, and digital entertainment. It is also exploring emerging fields such as embodied AI and aerospace computing.

As of the end of September 2026, MetaX had held 637 intellectual property rights, including patents, software copyrights, integrated circuit layout designs and trademarks. Its technological capabilities rank among the leading domestic GPU developers. The company has also been recognized as a national-level specialized and sophisticated "Little Giant" enterprise and a national high-tech enterprise. Its core products have received honors including the China Chip Award for Outstanding Technological Innovation Product.

MetaX will continue to pursue independent innovation and open collaboration, advance core technology R&D, and strengthen China's domestic GPU software ecosystem and cluster capabilities. The World Internet Conference (WIC) established the WIC Distinguished Contribution Award in 2024 to recognize individuals and enterprises that have made outstanding contributions to the global internet-related fields. As of now, 12 leading figures and 26 renowned enterprises from around the world have been honored with the award.

The enterprise awards cover three categories: Social Contribution, Innovative Breakthrough and Growth Potential. Recipients span internet platforms, mobile communications, AI, chip design, energy and power, and cybersecurity. The awards recognize the diversity of the internet ecosystem and encourage more enterprises to advance the industry and explore the digital future.
